Mind the 13 CBM break-even
Below it, pay per CBM in shared space. Above it, a 20ft loaded at your villa wins on price and handling.
FCL containersWhole-villa relocation
An on-site crew packs your whole villa in 1–3 days, logs every item, crates fragile pieces and loads the container at your gate — export paperwork included.
Quick answer
Packing takes 1–3 days on site. A 20ft container (about 30 CBM) runs USD 2,500–4,500 to the USA (2025 benchmark); sea transit is 4–8 weeks to Australia, 6–12 to the USA and Europe.
What’s included
Everything happens at your villa, not a warehouse — the container is sealed at your gate the day packing finishes.
Cost benchmarks
Published benchmarks in USD, 2025, subject to change — not your price. The all-in quote follows within 24 business hours of the site survey, with destination duties listed separately.
USD 150–250 to the USA (competitive band 100–150), trucked via Surabaya.
Indonesia–USA: 20ft USD 2,500–4,500, 40ft 4,000–7,000. Bali–Seattle about 3,200 / 4,800.
Marine insurance about 2% of declared value; wood, stone or phytosanitary certificates quoted per shipment.
Villa-move rules
Years of teak, carved doors, statuary and canvases add up to a container-sized job with real customs consequences.
How booking works
Villa-move questions
One to three days. A one-bedroom is usually a single day; a four-bedroom with stone statuary and framed art runs closer to three. The container loads the day packing finishes, so the on-site phase rarely exceeds four days.
Yes, if treated and documented before loading. Fumigation and treatment certificates are arranged in Bali as part of the packing job. Arriving without them risks inspection holds, treatment at Australian prices or re-export.
For the first morning and the final sign-off. The opening walk-through confirms what ships, sells or stays; at the close you sign the room-by-room inventory that becomes your customs packing list. Full-time supervision isn’t necessary.
The break-even sits near 13 CBM. Under it, LCL costs less, though goods are trucked to Surabaya and transshipped with extra handling. Over it, a 20ft sealed at your villa is usually cheaper and safer for fragile pieces.
Every pack includes desiccant inside wraps and crates, because a sealed container crossing the equator sweats. Canvases get acid-safe layers and lined crates. Marine insurance at roughly 2% of declared value (2026) covers moisture damage, loss and breakage.
